How long have you been working at Ebury? What is your previous experience?
I’ve been working at Ebury for more than 5 years. Previously, I’ve been working in custom-developed software companies and in a research and development center. Half of my work experience has been at Ebury.

What motivates you?
Working in an open and horizontal culture, where dedication and teamwork are valued. Use stack of modern technologies, oriented to high level thinking. Solve big challenges, like refactor applications to enable scaling or redesign complex workflows. Learn everyday about finances and fintech sector and its large potential.
What’s a typical working day for you?
Usually I start with a daily meeting where I talk with the team about tasks and issues found during the previous day and establish our priorities for the day. Depends on the project, I develop code for new features, fixes or refactor. Also, I am involved in analysis tasks and reviews of technical candidates in the recruitment process. At lunch time, I eat in restaurants in the center of Malaga. I like Fridays afternoon when I can learn new technologies from mates in meetups.
How has your job changed since you started working here?
I started in a small office in Málaga with a score of people between IT and operations. Most of technical processes were not defined yet. You could descry the core of the company in Málaga from your workstation. I remember that stage as stressful, learning a lot and in continuous growth. Over the years, everything has been standardized and specialized, I can focus on my projects and continue deepening in technologies and business processes.
Do you have any advice for people thinking of applying to work for the company?
If you are thinking of applying to work in the IT department I recommend you to be willing to learn a lot, be proactive, be a great teammate, be passionate about programming and be up to date in our technological stack.
