How long have you been working at Ebury? What is your previous experience?

Just over 2.5 years. Previously I studied a Masters in Aeronautics at Imperial College London.


What does it mean for you working at Ebury?

Working with the best range of products in the FX industry with the best group of people.


What motivates you?

A competitive edge to achieve and surpass targets and assist others with their own growth within the company. I aim to become a Head of Desk and manage my own team full time.


What’s a typical working day for you?

Post morning report at 8am involves some training with the juniors, market update emails and preparing for the day. Then any mixture of pitching new business, putting together tailored client proposals or attending meetings until 6pm. I look after a desk part time whilst the Head of Sales for Ireland is over in Dublin every two weeks, which means plenty of closing business for the Business Developers on the team.


How has your job changed since you started working here?

I started as a Business Developer and, whilst that role hasn’t materially changed in my time here, my position in the company has gone from pitching nothing but cold leads to managing a pipeline; with a combination of warmer prospects, existing clients and fresh business opportunities. Being more senior now allows me to mentor the juniors on the team along the same path I went down.


Do you have any advice for people thinking of applying to work for the company?

If you start with a willingness to put the effort in throughout the early months and onwards, you’ll be in an excellent position to progress quickly through the ranks. The main thing I’ve found is that you’re rewarded for your hard work at Ebury. You don’t necessarily have to be the best natural salesperson to achieve impressive results.
