Role description: 

Ebury is looking for an experienced and skilled Business Manager to support senior leadership in the management of our Global Financial Crime Operation team. This team incorporates all financial crime operational requirements for Ebury and is currently going through a period of change and development. The successful candidate will support senior management in daily tasks, design business strategies, manage a team of support staff, overview change and improve company efficiency. The candidate will deputise for the Global Head in their absence. 

The successful candidate will require excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, be a great team member and show excellent leadership & stakeholder management behaviours. Suitable candidates should also be excellent written and verbal communicators and be able to work under pressure to deadlines as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior leadership to manage and supervise global financial crime operations.
  • Take responsibility for projects and tasks as required. Communicate with senior leadership as necessary.
  • Manage a small team of staff including business & data analysts.
  • Perform regular employee evaluations to determine areas of improvement.
  • Design business strategies and plans to meet the company goals.
  • Responsibility for resources & budgets and the production of business MI & KRI's with the support of the wider team.
  • Ensure all company activities adhere to legal guidelines and policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Management or other related fields.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a management position.
  • Outstanding leadership & organisational capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience within financial services of at least 5 years.
  • Demonstrable analytical thinking & business insight.
  • Demonstrate creative thinking, driving efficiency and problem solving skills.
