Role description: 

Ebury is looking for an experienced and skilled Project Manager to support senior leadership in the scaling up and enhancing the end-to-end delivery of our operational AML and Sanctions programme.

The successful candidate will require excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, be a great team member and show excellent leadership & stakeholder management behaviours. Suitable candidates should also be excellent written and verbal communicators and be able to work under pressure to deadlines as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-regional and cross-functional initiatives including AML and Sanctions Screening monitoring programme.  
  • Liaising with key stakeholders within Operations, Compliance, Sales and clients to understand needs, frictions and opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Lead and drive end to end financial crime monitoring test and implementation ensuring individual development pieces are linked to together, data is mapped, workflows, batch dependencies and controls are understood.
  • Own the function’s programme roadmap and be responsible for its delivery.
  • Gather insights from customer feedback and analytics on the client journey to monitor efficiency levels, assess the impact of new developments and areas to prioritise. 
  • Keep up to date with market developments, ensuring the AML and Sanctions programme is effective, efficient and scalable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 3-5 years of experience within a financial crime change environment.
  • Experience working within financial crime and Sanctions automation, regtech and/or innovation programmes.
  • Understanding of financial crime requirements for a financial regulated company.
  • Track record of managing complex enhancement programs with multiple deliverables and deadlines.
  • Effective communicator and good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with complex data analysis or data-driven decision making. 
  • Understanding of software development including Agile.
  • Hands-on, detail and delivery oriented.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
  • Pro-active and able to operate at a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player – focus on the best outcome, not ego.
