Candidate profile:

Previous experience of at least 5 years, managing a payroll function in a multi-country payroll environment.

Our HR infrastructure is basic (however this is changing quickly) and we’re creating an entrepreneurial culture across the HR team, so a roll your sleeves-up and pragmatic mindset is essential. Someone who enjoys being in their comfort zone will struggle.

At our heart, we are a sales-driven financial services business with over 50% of our employees working in the Front Office. This environment demands a robust mindset, an outcome-driven focus, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills from all those in the HR team to actively consult and influence business leaders.

There’s plenty of ambiguity across the business so we need individuals who excel in environments that lack structure but at the same time enjoy establishing and building clarity. Strong written and verbal communication skills, an affinity with data, attention to detail and accuracy are essential.

The business operates at an incredible pace (on occasions, too quick) so we need individuals with drive, hunger, and ambition but at the same time, they have the confidence, experience, and capability to know when to diplomatically challenge as well as think ahead a few steps.

We are recognised by our employees for:

Having a warm, dynamic and smart culture (A number of our leadership team started their careers in consulting or investment banking).

We're a driven and determined team with a laser focus.

We have a supportive and open leadership team.

Ebury has a truly meritocratic culture giving real opportunities for career growth.

Everyone has the opportunity to impact and create change.

We are still a start-up in many ways, enabling individuals to accelerate their careers by having much more responsibility, opportunity, and recognition, without the constraints of bureaucracy.
