I joined Ebury straight after finishing my degree in Economics and Spanish in June 2016 as a Business Developer. My parents own a small business, and, after seeing how complicated their relationship with the bank was, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in a non-banking institution. I’ve always been interested in international markets and Ebury seemed like the perfect fit.
Thanks to some late nights and the incredible support from my team, I managed to progress to a Senior Sales 1 in 9 months. Within a year I reached my promotion to Senior Sales 2.
As my experience in the company has grown, I’ve been able to get involved in different parts of the business including event-planning for employees, and planning and attending client meetings and trade shows. This year I am heading up an initiative for Women in Finance in our UK office, to promote the great work that women are already doing at Ebury, and to challenge the gender gap commonly found in FinTech.
Looking to the future, I’m excited to take advantage of the new opportunities brought about by our continued expansion into new markets.
