Role

This is a key role building out the underwriting function in a context of growth and diligence in serving the customers.

Our lending is powered by business insight. The risk team undertakes a thorough rigorous analysis of the SME businesses looking to take our services. This will include an assessment of their markets, financials, products, activities and cash headroom modelling. The person will be expected to prepare a submission into our Credit Committee with results and recommendations. And also contribute to the development of automated risk modelling.



Responsibilities

As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst you will:

- Support the Head of Risk and Chief Risk Officer
- Perform credit analysis and offer recommendations for trade finance and currency trading products
- Train and manage the Junior Risk Analysts
- Understand the intersection between currency risk and credit risk and incorporating it into the credit analysis framework
- Lead the improvement of our underwriting processes
- Participate in the development of internal modeling/scoring efforts to automatise credit decisions



The Candidate

- University degree in business, finance or similar (essential)
- Fluency in English and Polish is essential (additional languages are a plus)
- Background in accounting, risk analysis and/or statistics
- 5+ years experience in a SME credit analysis role
- CFA or similar certification completed or at least in process desirable
- Demonstrate strong analytical ability
- Experience in understanding how businesses work and perform
- Clear, concise communication style
- Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment
- Working knowledge of Excel essential, VBA/Macros desirable
